Neal McCullough's "God Save the Kinks"

Here is the artist's decription:

""God Save the Kinks" was the promotional slogan used to promote the Kinks' cult album "The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society" in the USA.

I've designed the slogan here using Herb Lubalin's supremely flexible Avant Garde typeface, whilst detailing Ray Davies' complete lyrics from the song 'Village Green Preservation Society' in Trade Gothic below. All these details are framed in a lush 'ketchup' red rounded rectangle which will leap off your lounge wall.

I've produced only fifteen of these 500 x 700mm (19.7 x 27.5") prints, hand-printed (by myself) on 220gsm cream Fabriano stock. Each print is numbered and signed by the Artist

Due to this very organic print proces, no one print is perfectly rendered, every print has its own little inconsistencies and glitches making each one a distinct original, never to be printed again."
